Leah was a consultant on the hit Showtime series, United States of Tara, produced by Steven Spielberg and written by Oscar winner Diablo Cody, starring Toni Collette as a wife and mother with DID/Multiple Personalities. Leah currently resides in Southwest Virginia. You can view her work at www.leahpeah.com. Overcoming a mental illness begins with naming it. For Leah, the process of identification takes three decades and eleven doctors. Leah's story is one that must be heard to aid those suffering with Multiple Personalities/DID as well as those with Bipolar disorder; to let them know they are not alone, to help them find their answers and finally to allow them to heal. Leah grows up, marries, starts a family and disrupts it all to conquer her affliction. Leah's true life odyssey includes the dangerous pranks of Claire, a murder attempt by Predator and the resurfacing memories of Too, a six-year-old version of Leah.

Oct 15, 2009"Not Otherwise Specified--- WOW" This book is so genuinely and ingenuitously written, that it forces you to be honest about how your 'inner' selves have survived intact. Brilliantly retold biography-- first -hand accounts by all personalities inclusively portrayed. Leah allows us the rare privelege of seeing fully into those places in out heart and head that help us get through another day-- I can vouch for it's accuracy. I was there. Sometimes I feel like I was the only alternate personality that wasn't actually IN her head. I watched this story from beginning to end with an all-too-close front row seat. I knew her 'other personalities' before they had official names; had a realtionship with each one, individually, before and after they had come to terms that each other existed. I met them in real-time during her phase to integrate. I feel so priveleged to have known them all on a personal basis and to have been part of their healing into a whole person. I would have lived... More > my life just for this experience in life alone-- an honor indeed. Leah is indeed exceptionally brave to have conquered the damage created in her and come out the other side w/ so much to offer others. She's my hero. Her story is told in such easily readable form-- it's like being there--- again. She is very talented in her ability to put on paper the intracicies of the mass confusion she endured in her survival. You go, girl! I'm very proud to know you. Rhoda Anderson; sister and friend< Less
Aug 4, 2005"WOW" What an amazing truth has been told in this book, Leah is not only couragious for sharing with us this whole of her life but loyal to herself in doing so. The thing "we" liked best about this book is that "we" weren't triggered in anyway while reading it. Thanks for opening up your life to share with everyone of us who struggles each day with DID or DDNOS. Jordan, for Angelskeeper and the gang
