Hijacked on the Masai Mara: An African Safari off the Beaten Track (color)
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
In 1980, for their 25th wedding anniversary, Dick and Adorae Lester set off on the trip of their dreams. After hosting two African foreign exchange students in their homes as sons over the last few years and meeting many of their countrymen, they had a love for Africa and its people, so for their 25th wedding anniversary they had planned a six-week trip to Kenya and Ghana to visit their sons’ homelands. They did not know how true the Kenya Tourist Board’s slogan “For life long memories, visit Kenya” was going to be when they booked a three-day safari to the Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya with hopes of also visiting the school their Kenyan son Philip had attended. They never dreamed that their lives would be in danger or that they might not make it back home alive. This is the true story of kidnapping and terror in the African bush, a brave safari guide, and the faithful God who brought them home safely. Pictures in color
