Byron and Mary hitchhike to Bangor, Maine, for an afternoon at the movies. Instead they find themselves victims of a plot demanding $1 million dollar ransom. Mystery, suspense, and murder fill their days as they escape their captors to spend their nights in the woods of northern Maine, and their days fleeing down the Penobscot River. A body is found floating, the new local pastor is found suspect, and the sheriff finds himself at the edge of a precipice ready to plummet 60 feet down to the rocks below. A page-turner that deserves to be read in one sitting! - Softcover - E-Book

"High Above The River" I just finished this great book. And it read just like a New England river nice and peaceful moments turn in seconds into raging rapids. The story line was smooth and excellent and the ability to pull you into the story was just like the rapids of a New England river that catch you before you realize how strong they are, I was often late to do the things I wanted cause I had trouble setting the book down. The characters and location are so real I found myself comparing them to real people and places I know in New England. I wait with great expectations for the next book.
"High Above the River by Levi Soucy" What a great read! I could not put it down until I finished it. Let me know when the sequel is published. I liked the mix of the spiritual with the worldly - just the way life is (not as bad as those poor kids) but the reality is there.
