Dr. O's Marvelous Mysteries

I write southern mountain stories about characters ranging from merely eccentric to downright supernatural: there are talking animals and witches and moonshine makers of unusual quality. Cut-paper collages illustrate these stories, each one composed of shapes pieced together like a jigsaw puzzle. Sometimes the stories are spooky or disturbing, but the images exude dark humor in bright colors. Rarely do they spell everything out. My aim is to entice with enigma---the pleasurable sense of a mystery embedded in the image and words.
