This book of photos on the production of handwoven African tapestries accompanies an exhibit, "Woven Together: From Lesotho to Carolina," at the Hickory Museum of Art (Hickory, North Carolina). Tapestries and other works of art represent my exploration of mountain culture and my curiosity about Lesotho, a faraway corner of the vast and varied continent that is Africa.
