The 100th Henkle Family Reunion Cookbook Collection, 2009. This Henkle Family collective of family favorites has been gathered by the many descendants of those first Henkles that came across the plains on the Oregon Trail. Our ancestors left Cincinnati, Appanoose County, Iowa on the 4 day of April, 1853 to find a new home in the wilds of the great Willamette Valley before Oregon became a state. They brought their vast family and homesteaded in Benton County on the South Fork of Mary's River in the foothills of Mary's Peak.
This magnificent family grew and prospered and still gathers each year to pay homage to those great pioneers that gave so much of themselves to insure a future for all of us yet to come. This cookbook is a tribute to them.
All proceeds will be donated to the Henkle Reunion Committee, Oregon Branch.
