"Daring revelation and honest speak..." Zaran's words are a glowing iron, searing what they touch with her unique imprint. These poems are starkly beautiful, humble, and knowing. 'The Blondes Lay Content' is a compelling mix of innocence and old-soul, daring revelation and honest speak. It's a book I will read again, and often. - C.E. Laine (poet and editor)

"Lisa Zaran - The Blondes Lay Content" I have read the previews and have read Lisa on Xanga for over a year. She writes with such passion and directness that I am often blown away with the richness of her poems. I am betting that "The Blondes Lay Content" is a worthy read. Vexations on Xanga
