I found this excellent story by searching Google for story books featuring home educated children, and managed to track down a copy on Amazon. I was very impressed with the professional appearance of the book of the plot and the believability of the characters - and I especially love the humour inherent in the authorial voice. I was also pleased to see that there are no copy errors (I am a proofreader by profession so that sort of thing is important to me). In short, The Genie in the Teapot has become a firm favourite with me and my children; in fact it's one of the ones I usually choose to read to them when given half the chance. I have been in email contact with Liz Pilley and have found her a pleasant and helpful correspondent. For this reason as well as the high quality of the book and the story, I strongly recommend that you buy this book, home educator or not!
