"Great title" L.K. Campbell's, Gold Star Wife, is a beautifully well-written story. Campbell's descriptive writing will keep you reading. Michelle Rossi author of All About Me

Campbell explains the title of her romance novel, GOLD STAR WIFE, which is set in 1946 immediately after the end of World War II. The novel is written from the point of view of fictitious Janet Lewis, the wife of Jason Lewis, who lost his life during the war. Now a widow with three young children, Janet travels with them by train to Fort Jackson for a month-long visit with Ron and Katie Miller. Ron is a career serviceman and the godfather of Jason Lewis Jr., a now fatherless boy. To her pleasant surprise, she gets reacquainted with Lt. Col. She allows the relationship between Janet and Paul to bloom quickly, but is careful to take into account the mores of 1946 America in which such a courtship must follow the rules of propriety. The author's attention to these details is handled deftly and adds credibility to this story, and it is obvious she researched the post-war period very well. GOLD STAR WIFE by L.K.
