The book includes chapters on what it is, how it works, what it treats, how it can help you, constitutional and first aid remedies, as well as famous people who use it. It explains the concept of how homeopathy individualises treatments to match the patient's symptoms and compares its safety to modern medicine. There is a chapter on the 220 year history of homeopathy in Europe and America, existing homeopathic hospitals and scientific trials. At the end is a useful list of websites to find practitioners and homeopathic pharmacies, as well as recommended books for men, women, children and animals.

Jan 22, 2014I learnt a lot from reading Louise Mclean's book, “Homoeopathy Heals - Introduction to Homeopathy.” Her book is extremely well referenced. I took a homeopathic remedy for my back almost 2 years ago, and it helped very much. In her book, she explains HOW and WHY homeopathy is a totally safe, proven, evidence-based and complete system of scientifically based empirical medicine. She explains that the proven science of homeopathy is based on the "Law of Similars", like cures like. She points out that the scientific principle of homeopathy dates way back to the ancient Mayans, Greeks and to the North American Indians. Homeopathy in its current form was developed by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann about 200 years ago, and has successfully helped people around the world ever since. It has even proven itself to be the most effective medicine in some of the worst health crises the world has known. In 1854, during the cholera epidemic, the death rate for patients was only 9% under homoeopathy... More > care, but patients under allopathic medicine, experienced a death rate of 59.2 %. During the major influenza pandemic of 1918 in the USA, where Dr. T.A. McCann of Dayton, Ohio reported 28.2 % of patients died under regular medical care, only 1.05 % died under homeopathic care. More recently during the 2007-08 outbreak of Leptospirosis in Cuba, it was successfully prevented using a homeopathic remedy for 2.3 million people at a cost of only $200,000, the vaccine costing 10 times more at $2 million. In her book, Louise lists famous people, past and present, some of which you would never suspect, who support and use Homeopathic medicine on a regular basis. Louise points out that homeopathic medicine costs considerably less than orthodox medicine, saving considerably more lives. She says this is the main reason why mainstream medicine is fiercely opposed to homeopathy, constantly putting out false and misleading information in the media. This is why the favourable 2005 WHO draft report on Homoeopathy was suppressed. A subsequent meta-analyses published in the Lancet falsified the data by reducing 110 successful homeopathy studies down to 8 which were inconclusive and compared to 6 medical studies. Homeopathy’s scientific therapeutic method is based on observational facts and phenomena, which follow the rules of inductive logic, producing negligible or no side-effects and its science can be and is being tested daily.< Less
Aug 19, 2013As a stalwart supporter of homoeopathy, learned and appreciated through many years utilising this highly efficacious medication for a large dairy herd, I recognise the value of a book like this. It's worth pointing out that dairy cows don't tend to lie, deceive, or engage in word games to deny its efficacy! Louise is clearly a homoeopath who understands the subject from all perspectives. Furthermore, she has an ability to write clearly and concisely in sharing her knowledge. This isn't information that needs to be held purely within homoeopathic circles. It's high time that more conventional medics broaden their awareness of what is achievable in the field of healthcare, and the ways in which patients afflicted with diseases can be restored to better or full health. With the intractability of many conditions challenging humans, we need more open minds and Louise has provided a book which is an excellent starting point for all in the health arena.
Aug 18, 2013Louise Mclean is a very talented lady and committed humanitarian. She is what many have called a "light worker". She brings hope to many people and this book is a sincere attempt on her part to share the wisdom she has gained working in the field of medicine for many years. I reject the label "alternative medicine", as I believe that label applies as much to modern allopathic medicine as to any modern alternative and the dictatorship of the pharmaceutical medicine industry is given a run for its money with the gentler approach of practitioners like Ms. Mclean. I salute her and her book and hope everyone in the medical field and everyone interested in improving their health as well as their family's well being will give it a sincere read and implement her suggestions. She takes the oath "do no harm" seriously and would not even hurt a fly.
