Very descriptive and imaginative. Loved the dark humour, full of sadistic chuckles. A great read, so far so good!

Rollercoster ride of gore, comedy and entertaining characters. Just dont make the mistake of getting too attatched to them. Vivid and bold use of adjectives, a real compelling read!

Here are some reviews submitted on Amazon for my book... 5.0 out of 5 stars Blown away....., 8 Mar 2014 By Manoosh - See all my reviewsVerified Purchase This review is from: The Tortures of Thomas Darkne (Paperback) I could not believe this was book written by such a young author. A collection of supernatural stories with uncanny insight and thoughtfulness. I was intrigued so much so I decided to look into this young man further and what I discovered is that he has been writing about the supernatural since he was about 7/8 years old. This is not a perfect book but it does draw you in .... Luke Crook is one to watch in the future, definitely. 5.0 out of 5 stars wow, 9 Mar 2014 By LauWren - See all my reviewsThis review is from: The Tortures of Thomas Darkne (Paperback) Fantastic. Loved the short story of the character Danny. Especially the ending. Cant wait for more stories in the darkne series :-)

A great read! I throughly enjoyed the writing style, it is full of life and interest. Most of the characters felt like real people and as adversaries of Darkne they were interesting characters. Definitely not one of the faint of heart, very gory and full of gruesome violence. The device of the bonus features worked very well, both in terms of helping the plot along and also it gave personal reasons for the author drafting the stories as he did. My first impression was that there were too many unexplained loose ends, but after reading the entire book I had changed my mind. I think the uncertainties raise the interest level. Alot of questions are brought to mind and it gets you thinking about what could happen and what would have happened if things had gone differently. I hope that most of these un-answered questions will have their answers in the books to follow and I'm sure they will!
