The human body is designed to survive in certain environmental conditions that dictate our ability to exist within those parameters. There are certain tools, however, that allow the body to exist in otherwise uninhabitable environments. The ability for the body to survive thus becomes a “glitch” in the system. The glitch is one that interrupts the carefully designed environment to encompass the elements that were not originally welcomed.
The habitable region of the earth is constantly compromised due to destructive acts made by humans. This destruction is a very deliberate, yet reckless process driven by increasing economic, industrial and conflict-driven demands. This type of annihilation is coined “manufactured destruction”. It is a technology-driven process that extracts raw materials that have become essential to the evolution of our manufactured world. The destruction inevitably generates an epoch of an inert, uninhabited, and defiled urbanity.
