The society column of the London Times includes details about the richest people. In their large manor homes they entertain only the nobility. The winter months are crowded with news about lavish balls. My constant companion Detective Cheerie (large male cream colored cat) and I(Bentley Brighton) enjoy each day reading about them and viewing the photographs. Inspector Jiles of Scotland Yard gave us tickets to the opening night of Phantom of the Opera at the Metropolitan Opera House in London. Since Detective Cheerie is a member of Scotland Yard he was allowed to attend the opera. In the lobby Lord and Lady Van Beek greeted us. They were well aware of the numerous murder cases Detective Cheerie has solved. To our horror, before the night is over, Lord Van Beek is murdered! Will Detective Cheerie be able to solve the most important case of his career? **Watch for new books!** Eighty-fourth book in the series.
