Lynette ist writing about her journey. How she decided to leave her comfort zone behind (grown-up children, job, house) in order to "discover herself" in a 4 months trip to New Zealand. Well, this has been a very popular subject lately and some books have been incredibly successfull like "Eat, Pray, Love". Most of the time when reading this kind of books I really enjoy them but do not think that this could acutally happen to me (hey, the fewest among us can afford a fancy flat in Rome for 4 months, not to mention the remaining 8 months). Lynettes book is different. It is "real". In a very honest and lovely writing manner she makes the reader to a witness of her struggles and subjects but also her unfolding curiosity for life and understanding that she is the "director of her film called life" . Her adventures are "makeable" for all of us, yet amazing. You need guts for them. It is so much fun to read how she dares more and more and how... More > life rewards her with these cool experiences in return. The spiritual aspect is not missed out. But it makes sense while you discover yourself more and more that the bigger picture pops up and questions need to be answered for yourself. This book is perfect for women who wonder if there is more about life than their current situation and try to get in touch again with their own needs. Women who have started to open up for spirituality. But this book is also fabulous for all New Zealand fans as the country is described in rich colours and might give you some new ideas where to go for your next travel. I highly enjoyed this book!< Less

This is a lovely stroll with a friend along part of her personal life journey. Experience the letting-go, trusting, acceptance, and value of 'what is' - freedom from the constraints of being needed and needing. Living life with an open mind and reaping the rewards. Kinda made me want to pack my rucksack and give it a go ...
