This past summer, my nine-year-old grandson, Andrew, and I traveled to Appalachia to visit the Smoky Mountain National Park and the surrounding area. We visited the town of Cherokee in North Carolina and the towns of Gatlinburg, Townsend, and Pigeon Forge in Tennessee. This was a driving trip from Andrew's hometown of Mint Hill, NC. We saw many historical sites involving Native American culture and pioneer settlements. All of the places which we visited were totally new to Andrew. I had the pleasure of seeing these through the eyes of a young boy and enjoying these for another time myself.
This book is one in a series about my adventures with my grandchildren.
