In the last week of Feb. 1924, handsome Nick Gable arrives in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, and meets with local lawyer, Dudley Marquette, concerning the purchase of eighteen thousand acres of land in Devil’s Swamp. "The Bluffs of Devil's Swamp" I started to read this book and I could not put it down, I read it in 2 days. Intriguing, misterious, suspensful, well written and extremely descriptive; I felt I was part of this book and bacame one of these characters. Through my exploration going back in time and reviving the history and the circumstances, I became Carlotta, the voodoo Queen. It was an amazing and chilling experience. So real, that I want to take a trip and see Devil's Swamp. The end of the book left me wanting more...I sure hope there will be a sequel... A movie would be the ultimate revival.
