A photo memoir depicting the many sides to Maggie Claire as she recovered from childhood sexual abuse. Maggie used dissociation or multiple personalities to defend herself against the hurt and pain. The pictures and art work show how Maggie thought, her fears, her story and her coping skills. Drawing and coloring were key to Maggie's recovery and it revealed a whole family of inner personalities that lived so that Maggie did not experience the trauma of sexual abuse. This book is a companion book to the written version with a similar title; AS IF IT DIDN'T HAPPEN: A STORY OF ABUSE, MULTIPLE PERSONALITIES AND HOPE.
