This is a story (with illustrations) for children ages 7-12 or for anyone that loves dragons. It is the story of Willow a young, blue-eye dragon that hatches from her egg when it falls into the sea. After her rescue she discovers she is not like other dragons. Instead of breathing fire, she spurts large amounts of water. Often teased by her brothers, she feels she will never be a ‘real’ dragon – brave and strong. Soon she becomes known as ‘Weeping Willow, the sad little dragon. When a family member’s life is threatened, can Willow learn to use her special abilities and save him or will she forever remain a lonely dragon?

This is a delightful children’s (or adult) story about a young dragon misfit named Willow. This blue-eyed dragon must learn to accept she is not like than other dragons. What makes her unique also makes her special. Once she learns how to use her ability, she learns she is no less a dragon. It’s told in a manner than young children can understand. You will love Willow and want her to succeed. I did the artwork for the book, because I believe in this little book, and hope Ms Clark, continues to write her stories.

This is a lovely story for children, and my young grandchildren and great-nieces and nephews loved it! Most could read it themselves; they range from 5-1/2 to 10 yrs. I read it to my grandchildren who are 3-1/2 and 5 yrs. old. It's a grand adventure that has it all, loss, fear, courage, and triumph, but is very suitable for children. I'm really hoping Ms. Clark writes more adventures of our brave Weeping Willow!

Weeping Willow is a fun story and easy to read over and over to children. I want one for each of my grand nieces and grand nephews. It'll be good for them all, as Weeping Willow is a girl dragon and her brothers are big tough boy dragons. It's got real knights and warring factions that are fun to read about, but just out there enough to be little concern to the dragons. It's a fanciful, fun children's story that I think would make a great Pixar movie someday.
