    Very interesting material. A lot of work went into finding the details of 60 plus railroads throughout the United States and Canada. A great gift and MUST have book for any railroad buff.

    This history includes articles on the building of railroads, lists of lost and unclaimed baggage, accidents along the rails, and other pieces regarding this aspect of Monroe County’s past. It is a very detailed public account of what was happening in the area concerning railroads. He includes a list of topics covered in some of the early newspapers as well. The amount of time and effort Mr. Poupard put into this work will be valued by anyone interested in railroad history.
