The personal quotations, photographs, descriptions of the atrocious sufferings, and the willingness of young women to enter religious life clandestinely at this time give the reader much to ponder, and leads one to thank God for their faith and determination. Thanks to Sister Margaret and to you, Lulu, for providing to us, the public, the stories of truly "undaunted courage" evidenced in the lives of the Catholic Sisters who endured sufferings under communism.

This book follows upon a hour-long documentary about the same subject. The documentary is entitled, "Interrupted Lives". What is so helpful about both the documentary and the book is the witness to faith that it gives. This is not about theory; it is about the reality of women who suffered greatly under Communism and triumphed within! The book makes these stories more accesible to the public than the documentary, even though the latter was shown on national TV. The book is not long and well apportioned with good pictures.
