Melanie Roth is running away from her life and takes off to Europe to reinvent herself: fields of sunflowers in Holland, singing "The Sound of Music", in Austria, and walking the streets of Paris looking for fashion and culture. Leaving from Calgary, Alberta Canada, she endures the gut-wrenching descent into Heathrow airport. From there, she explores the lifestyle of the Red Light district in Amsterdam. Germany is next, then the Alps of Austria and Italy. Melanie visits the highlights of each region and city: Anne Frank Museum, Vatican City, The Louvre and Michelangelo's David. Fending off clumsy admirers she surrenders to a romantic encounter that propels her to a new self-image. Once in Italy, after being pooped on a by a pigeon in Venice, Europe begins to wear on Melanie's polite Canadian Core and so do the people on her bus.
Forty-proof schnapps, love, and the perfect pair of shoes - that's what a European Tour is all about!
