LOVING LOUIS, A Mother's Love Is For Always, is a story of a mother's unconditional love. Louise is a blue-gray Silkie Hen who lived with Carol and Brian Seago in northern Wisconsin. This book is based on stories, as told by Carol and Brian, of the real Loving Louise. Louise, the hen, has no rooster on the farm, so she cannot have her own baby chicks. The farmer and his wife had an idea that would make Louise very happy. Imagine the surprise when 12 white roosters hatched from the eggs that the farmer left in the nest for her. In spite of their differences, Louise adopted all 12 roosters and loved them all unconditionally. Now that's something to crow about! Beautiful watercolor illustrations fill the pages throughout the story.
