This was a very enjoyable read. I was impressed by the unique way in which Marina Leigh Duff told each teaching story. The image poems are my favorite because they are so interesting, thoughtful, and fun.

"Skilled," "adventurous" and "humorous" are three words that describe Markers & Erasers by Marina Leigh Duff. Wry observations, quiet reflections and embarrassing moments all take their place in this thoughtful collection, much like the students that form the subject of these carefully constructed poems. "Note on the Floor" is just one of the many poems that bring multiple emotions into play, where the odd moment of seeing oneself through someone else's eyes generates both sad and humorous reflections. From more poignant pieces like "Why'd you fail me" or "Baby Having Babies" to the typographical playfulness of "Drone" or "Goddess of Wisdom," Duff shows an enviable...
