These notes are an average horsewoman's thoughts and dreams about horses. Words that just touch the surface of our unique bond with our equine friends. Stories like "Freedom's Run" where you are riding with the young girl and her stallion across the vast sandy beach in a time long gone. Or one of the many poems like the "The Runner" where it speaks of a legend of the an old Moonshine runner from the Ozarks. Or one that talk's about a string of bad luck in "A Goodin' If'n ya Please." To the stolen moments of a young lady's dream in "Forbidden Run" Among these pages are moments dreamed up from a horse loving heart. I hope you enjoy and share in the fantasy. "Beautifully Written Book" This is a wonderful book that will touch the heart of every horse lover. Being a man,I particularly liked "The Runner," which evoked memories of an old Robert Mitchum movie, "Thunder Road," about moonshiners. Beautifully written-a book worth owning if you are an equine enthusiast.
My daughter loves horses so it felt natural to purchase this beautiful book for Heidi’s 35th birthday. I found it fascinating to open this book as each turn of the page felt a lovely new discovery unfolding vibrant images, energy and passion… Well done!
Beautifully presented in a handwritten style and peppered with evocative images, this book would make a wonderful addition to anyone's personal library of quality books! The poetry, too, is written in an easy, flowing manner which anyone will take to heart, even if they're not horse enthusiasts!!
