"A Beautiful And Uplifting Guide for the Spirit" Well I just finished reading the The Art Of Being A Goddess: A Guide To Self Discovery and Self Mastery, by Marjorie Borgella and I have to say it is was really well done. It was simple, easy to comprehend, but very well written and very inspiring. I have read several self help books that emphasize the power of positive thinking, but what made this a little different is that it was rooted in Ancient African culture i.e. Kemet, and was specifically targeting Black woman. It was wonderful, and actually so wonderful that I felt that it could be applied to all women. I have to say I agreed with most of things the author said, and could at least understand where she was coming from, on perspectives that I didn't necessarily agree with. The greatest asset of this book is that it has a very simple, yet powerful message, which is this: We, as women, have the power to change our lives for the better, and by consistently and... More > diligently acknowledging our own power, we can indeed lead and become the type of person that we are fully capable of being. I think that's a fabulous message to preach.< Less

"A book of remembrance to profound truth in reason!" By what credential do we rate a book “good” or “bad?” - By the “properness” of the Authors’ expressions? - By our personal approval of the author’s work? - Or, by the inspiring lessons that we come across as we travel through the author’s journey? Well, “The Art of Being a Goddess.” Is not just a “good” book, but a seed of hope; planted and watered fittingly for the purpose of growth to reign in the heart and spirit of every Goddess (if allowed). Through the art medium and through words, inspiring Author, Marjorie Borgella compassionately guides her reader to an interior discovery of self by skillfully unfolding the value of womanhood and the significance of God’s beauty that elevate “Womanhood" beyond fleshly powers— but into a divine sense and applications of her natural, Godly powers. “The Art of Being a Goddess” is indeed a book of remembrance to profound truth in reason! ~ fania simon
