A wonderful story that I could not put down. I love the way the author went back and forth from present day to ancient times. The story line was exciting and I would highly recommend this book to anyone of any religion or someone not very religious.

An ambitious book with a fascinating premise: how and when was the Torah written and by whom? The belief that the Torah has many authors over many centuries is explored while developing such diverse characters as scribes from Babylonian times and U.S. military personnel from 2009. The author uses names and terminologies from the different millenia to set the scenes, such as miles in modern times and parses in ancient times. The glossary, time line, and selected passages from the Bible helped explain the settings of the book. A map would have been of assistance also in picturing the various locations of the action. A highly believable exploration of what just might have been.
