When I first looked at the cover of the book, the title and cover image caught my eye. It did look like a good read but, like many people, I did not want to buy it. I downloaded the electronic version and read it there. Well, it was entertaining, but it really lacked a solid story line and the connections between all three stories was weak. The third was definately the most interesting, dealing with time travel and pirates from the present day fighting those of the golden age of piracy. However, I felt the book was poorly written, and many times I felt my mind wandering away from the pages of the book. I admire the efforts of Mr. McConnaughay and his attempts to write a story at such a young age, and the same to Mr. Simulis, but next time try to write something that is more gripping. The book was hard to relate to on any level, and it did seem to drag on. The ending was good but rather abrupt. Again, I thank Mr. McConnaughay and Mr. Simulis for writing this story and publishing it for... More > the public to read, but it could have been much better. Better luck next time.< Less
