Stone is the one category of material used by almost all historical human cultures; & its workings often provide the only record of human behavior at a particular time. This is a plastic age. Are there any stone tools, other worked stone, or even remnants of the working of stone that will be left behind to record our passing? MARK YOUNG tries to find any stone artifacts scattered around in the unreality of our purported real world, &, if they are there to be found, to categorize them. "lithic typology" is the record of that search, & follows on from two earlier investigative collections published by gradient books, "the eclectic world" & "Bandicoot habitat."
