Martin Bodek spent a year encountering the nose-pickers, nail-clippers, cellphone-yappers, lane cut-offers, people who stand akimbo, child slappers, personal space invaders, stores that have cashiers who can't decipher coupons, customer service idiots, the rude, the people who need BlackBerry helmets, line cutters, public masturbators, escalator mudsticks, teenagers discussing what liquids induce abortion, and decided to write about it. This is what he wrote.

Unveiling the truth about people's core (inappropriate) behavior through the observing eye of the author. Engaging, candid, suitable for all -- what a way to learn about life in New York/New Jersey in general, and the author in particular.
To get to know the writer is best done by reading his books. If you want to laugh, cry or just plain not fall asleep reading then this book is for you. Martin Bodek deserves top ten honors on all top ten book lists and then some. So don't be uncouth buy this book and enjoy the heck out of it, then make sure your friends buy one too, this book will not be a hamme down.
In The Year of Bad Behavior, Martin Bodek takes note of all the despicable behavior around him. The book is written over one year, and is chronicled in a day-by-day entry format. The book is wildly funny, and unfortunately true. The book is short and concise, and therefore suffers no litany whatsoever. Additionally, the book is extremely easy to read which, when coupled with the fact that it is a comedic book, is perfect. I would completely recommend purchasing this book, it is fantastic! So, to all the line-cutters, double-parkers, texter-while-drivers, and misbehaving males and females of planet Earth, beware, for you cannot escape the sleuth of the uncouth.
