OZARK PRINCESS DIARY is a collection of stories by Mary Jane Daugherty-Srubar, an Irish storyteller better known as “The Ozark Princess.” Mary Jane was born and raised in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, in the heart of the fabled Ozark Mountains. She married a Texas cowboy and after graduating from Texas A&M, the couple moved to California. This book, the sequel to Ozark Princess, Mary Jane’s autobiography. is a collection of stories featuring her unique brand of Ozark-Irish humor. In stories such as “Southern Fried with Bacon Grease,” or “Hillbilly Barbeque in Texas,” she tells humorous and sentimental true stories of Southern life, love, and grits with lots of butter.
