"My Darling Alice" My sister had this book and let me borrow it to read, I literally didn't move that night until it was finished. I don't know if it is because I have such a great love for Centreville and it's history or maybe because I loved her book The Magic Mystery Swan that I got when I was a kid. (it still sits on my bedside 30 years later) Whatever the reason it is one of the best books I have ever read. Mary Wood's only fault is that she doesn't write enough! If only there were more books like this I wouldn't have to sit through another Danielle Steele, ugh.....
