A month of stories, 31 in all ... desperate divas and ambitious execs, cuckolded housewives and puzzled politicians, squabbling sisters and nasty neighbours ... all get a guernsey in this collection of fiction and non-fiction about people funny and very unfunny too.
Matt Potter has created dark and often funny stories in his first collection “Vestal Aversion.” Multi-faceted and fast moving, they are vivid reflections and recollections of life on this planet, during this time in history. – Susan Tepper, author of 'From the Umberplatzen'

I read this collection in two days. The stories are short, sharp, and keenly observant. There's a good bit of humor sprinkled throughout, and characters that crawl off of the page into your psyche. If you have not read Matt Potter's work, you should. And this book is a great way to make your acquaintance. Recommended.
WOW! What a cracking collection! I think it was the stories with the elderly that really made me wince. They were just so poignantly done. Some of the stories made me snigger aloud [especially the lawnmower one], some made me sad, all made an impression. I couldn't ration myself to one a day. Just too more-ish! I met the author, Matt, through fictionaut (an online writing community) and worked with him on his site Pure Slush, and for the purposes of full disclosure would like to state that I'm a fan of the man and his work - if I wasn't, I wouldn't work with him as often as possible (which I do).
