Shortly after crashing on to a remote colony planet, Trevor Barrington finds himself assisting with the excavation of a recently discovered alien artifact and falling in love with the colony-leader Kayle O’Donnell. Life is good…until a fanatical military force attacks the colony in an attempt to overtake the planet. Trevor and Kayley are forced to fight to keep the colony in one piece, while at the same time preserving the excavation site. But when the alien artifact is accidently activated, a second invasion force is unleashed on to the planet: a mysterious alien race that believes it created mankind centuries ago to be food. Trevor and Kayley are then trapped in between two voracious armies with no apparent way to escape. As both forces close in on the fledgling colony, Trevor ultimately realizes that the key to survival may rest with the very artifact that brought forth the alien race to begin with…
