After a number of years constructing buildings and building components, I returned to school to study for my master in architecture. Following this, I have begun to integrate an understanding of building construction with a developing theoretical curiosity.
The result is a series of professional and academic projects of which the highlights are featured here. If there is a commonality among them, it is that the works reflect a constant refinement and reconciliation between the full scale detail, on one hand, and the broadest effects of space on its occupants on the other. Among these, the ability of material to shape light is explored as a practice spanning materiality, digital representation, and space making. The drawings and renderings tread the difficult path between human centered conceptual thinking, and the materials and processes of construction, striving to develop for their respective projects the relationship between the two.
