Great read.... Mr. Miller's many years experience in the social services sector and in his own life as well and understanding what doesn't work and what does work in the addressing the poverty challenges in the US, offers a fresh perspective on how we as individuals, social services sectors and governments can create a platform for which those in poverty can learn from others in their community to turn their poverty from a generational poverty to what we hope will be a transitional poverty level and finally break away from the stigma. Volunteering with backpack weekend food programs and also mentoring with at risk children, I have seen what doesn't work, although necessary because it involves children. I am all for taking away incentives that make poverty thrive and provide platforms where individuals wiil take intitiatve to extract themselves from generational poverty. Thanks for providing detailed insight on how to accomplish this.
