This is a series of fountain pen drawings on Little India, drawn after careful study over a few months.
All drawings start with the line. We insist on the pen for a few reasons. Pen is unforgiving. Once we draw the wrong line, we cannot remove it without a trace. Yes, no eraser is to be used. We got the wrong line, we flow with it. There is no turning back or we could tear the paper up, but we never did. We treasure the paper. Every piece of paper has to yield to its usefulness. Conserve the paper! Treat it as a sacred being, perhaps, with a life to be fulfilled. Feel sorry if we did not do our best to fulfill its destiny, to be used up, not to be wasted. Every piece of paper cost money too. One can buy expensive paper, pens, and ink, but not waste them away. We treat every pen, ink, paper and thought as carefully as possible.
The fountain pen is different from the felt tip pen. We love the fountain pen.
