May 25, 2009"Permanent Passenger: My Life on a Cruise Ship" Permanent Passenger: My Life on a Cruise Ship by Micha Berman is a wonderful fun filled book about life working on a cruise ship, but not just any cruise ship, the Carnival Lines. you may have been on a ship and had loads of fun but now get behind the scenes and sail through the book with a smile on your face.
Jun 13, 2008"Permanent Passenger: My Life on a Cruise Ship" Micha Berman shares his honest, humurous and inspiring personal account of getting hired by a cruise line company and living and working onboard a cruise ship. If you've ever worked on a cruise ship... aspire to work on one... or have ever wondered what on earth goes on 'behind the scenes' in this fascinating industry - then this book is a MUST read!
May 11, 2008"Permanent Passenger A Quick, Light-hearted Read" I just purchased and read Permanent Passenger by M. Berman. What a delightful, easy read. Had me belly-laughing in spots. We cruise a lot, and to see through the author's eyes a candid reality shot of an industry many of us don't understanding was really interesting. I highly suggest this book for anyone who has ever cruised, is thinking of crusing, or who may one day consider working in the industry. It's a must read! - Rick Becker Ft. Lauderdale, FL (5 Stars!)
Apr 30, 2008"Reality Check" This fascinating read gave me a ‘reality’ experience of what it will be like to work at sea with my upcoming contract. The hard times, the good times and the emotions... Everything was captured perfectly. An interesting story which in hope, someday i will have the same adventures to share with my friends. A must read for industry folk, and anyone interested in joining the industry.
Apr 28, 2008"Very fun read for any cruiser" Micha did a really great job describing life of the workers aboard a cruise ship. I have been on several cruises and it was very fun to read about the behind the scenes of the ship. I have always had such great service on the cruises and it was interesting to read about their “bad” days. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that this is their job and just like the rest of us there are good days and bad, good bosses and bad, good customers and bad. This is a must read for anyone that has ever cruised or plans to in the future.
Apr 22, 2008"Excellent Book" After being a passenger on 9 cruises i've always thought what it would be like to have what many consider the dream job. Recently i've been taking the right steps toward getting the "Dream Job". Along my research I came across Micha's book and truely loved it. It really made things clear of what I will be getting into. Some things worse and some things much better than I expected. This book is very entertaining. I picked it up and finished it in one night. I hope that I get to share my experiences one day the way Micha did to future workers or cruisers. By being very truthful in this book Micha did not sway my decision of getting a shipboard job at all. He just gave me a better view of what I'll be getting into and I thank him for that. A must read for anyone thats ever been on a cruise or is looking to go.
Feb 24, 2008"Permanent Passenger review by Bekki Buenviaje" A very entertaining and hilarious inside look at the cruise industry as well as a 'fly on the wall' view of the antics, social life, and unspoken hierarchy of crew members. This is a must read for anyone interested in working in the cruise industry or anyone who just plans to go on a cruise!
Feb 13, 2008A fun and entertaining book! It's cool to read about what goes on behind-the-scenes on a cruise ship, especially after having been on a cruise as a passenger.
Feb 4, 2008"I like what I see..." I love a book that gives me a glimpse into a world that few of us see. Thanks!
Jan 29, 2008"Entertaining" From what I saw of the preview it looks like a very entertaining book
