10 Solos for Multiple Percussion: Volume 1

The idea for this book came out of my private teaching and wanting to expand the scope of my students beyond the typical drum set material. These solos are written for single & multiple drums/toms/cymbals, but are also adaptable for playing on a standard 5-piece drum set. The idea here being able to bridge the gap between playing drum set, and playing multiple percussion. The main thing to note, except for one solo, there are no parts for the feet. Also note the various techniques used in different solos. The idea of this book is to stretch your ideas & imagination a bit. While some of the rhythmic concepts seem familiar to playing drum set, they have there differences. Be open, and don’t let your preconceptions get in the way of what is written on the page.
