First self-published orchestra suite, composed and orchestrated by American composer Michael Guy who is also a jazz pianist and has recently published CDs. 7 sections with each published alone as they are finished. The first here is I.PRELUDE, a romantically tinged impressionistic melody surrounded with rippling harp, woodwind figures they reveal his influences from Howard Hanson, Ives to Debussy and Stravinsky. This short prelude orchestrated in 2010 is amazingly based on one of his first youthful melodies all the back to 1975! when just a student in community college...
