Movement two only from American composer and jazz pianist Michael Guy's Sonata No. 1 for Violin and Piano, newly revised in 2011 but reflecting his serious composition styles going back to the mid 1980's when just leaving undergraduate music study. This beautiful but tragic tonal melody is set to a very straightforward arrpegiated piano style yet is deeply emotional and harmonically changing by gradual chromatics to reveal his jazz harmony influence.
The other two movements to be published separately at his JzCDz.com music den at Lulu.com
