May. 25, 2010 By Maggie Winton Philip One form of Mankind’s competitiveness is the ambition to hold an elitist’s position of power by possessing superior knowledge and to have the means of making that law. Powerful religious institutions still discourage laymen from questioning their religious dictates. By pointing this out, the author of, “Does the Bible deny the Divinity of Jesus?” has taken on the sting of dissent from reading his study and, by structuring it with analytical precision, has uncovered the obstacles to making such an enquiry. His directness enables his readers’ surmise of the content to see the most important thread running through this paper, of examples showing the incredible heart of the man who was Jesus. This begs the question of how each of us can develop such a heart for the benefit our fellow human beings. As pointed out here, when we falter, the incredibly practical Jesus demonstrated how ‘natural knowingness’ is best put to practical use. We see that he was... We are reminded here that Jesus taught that his work should never be interpreted in a divisional way. We should be attuned only to his message of being equally part of the oneness of God. To help us on our way, this work also reminds us that we need to differentiate between what we are being required to believe and what we choose to believe by using that instinct of knowing reached by quiet contemplation. The freshness of this theological paper gives the confidence to know what is right. -Maggie Winton Philip magilinc@gmail.com< Less
