During World War II, Lt. Glenn Mason, USN, was located in the Pacific Theater as Aide to Admiral John Dale Price. These very detailed drawings are of the actions of the sailors and pilots that were awarded the Congressional Medal Honor. Included are the citations and descriptions of valor signed by the President of the United States. The residing Allied authority over Okinawa, Admiral John Dale Price, the top Navy Air Corp Aviator (first aviator to land on an aircraft carrier at night) is shown with the top Army Air Corp Pilot, Jimmy Doolittle (led the first strike on Tokyo with Bombers launched from a flattop). Some drawings describe the evacuation of local people and the securing of Okinawa for the staging of a land invasion of the Japanese mainland.
