Michael J. Ulmen, aka Bob Bigtoe, has committed to paper some of his experiences on the road and behind the wheel of various vehicles over a period of 45 years.
"Leadfoot Louie" is a term that refers to a person who drives fast and dangerously. Over the course of his adult life, the author has not only been a "roadie" Leadfoot Louie, hard on the accelerator, himself, but he has also been exposed to this style of driving in other people.
In this memoir, he describes several incidents involving his own leadfoot incidents in the hope that it inspires others to drive responsibly.
The stories are also meant to entertain the reader, who can live vicariously through these incidents, but without the accompanying guilt, much like driving a road racer machine in an arcade.

A breezy and entertaining read! Each of 8 vignettes situated out on the road encourages the reader to smile and recall their own interesting situations and sometimes "close calls", the kind of which are surely universal to the collective driving experience.
