I have been studying and practicing Buddhism most of my life. What is still most rewarding to me is finding basic teaching re-presented in a way that brings new awakening. Lama Migmar Tseten's text is such a book. He writes about the complete Buddhist path in seven steps. His clear, conversational style brings the depth of these teachings to new accessibility for new practitioners. For those with more experience, there is a wonderful, unexpected freshness. I recommend this text highly.
I have read many books on Tibetan Buddhism over the years and have never been so impressed with the clarity and insight this book shines forth. It clearly explains the gradual training it takes without any mystic mumbojumbo to embrace the true you--a living emanation of the Buddha within! I wish i had read this book 30 years ago...it would have made more sense of all the other books i've read. Two thumbs up...and one-hand clapping for this remarkable book!
Traditional Tibetan Buddhist teachings presented in a way western readers can readily understand, enjoy and apply. Beautifully written; full of compelling stories and examples, this book shines with the author's impressive powers of communication. Every time I pick up this book, it brings some new level of insight of the Dharma, and it is certainly one of the best, most enjoyable volumes our study group has chosen for reading.
Five enthusiastic stars: This book is a comprehensive guide to The Path. Lama Migmar Tseten writes in an accessible format, for the beginning Buddhist or seasoned practitioner. His seven step approach is practical and if applied to life, transforming.
