Review by world renowned artist - Terryl Whitlatch,
"Mike's sketchbook, Planet to Planet, is fresh, innovative, and inventive. It is liberally filled with exotic locations and characters, and his creatures, drawn in an abundance of forms, poses, and points of view, sparkle with life and imagination.

Planet to Planet is a great sketch book. I've been collecting sketch books by great artist for a while and this is one of the best I've ever seen. Mike Corriero is a creative mastermind and produces great creatures. He's an inspiration!
I'm studying Illustration at AAU hoping to break into the world of Concept Art, and "Planet to Planet" is a fantastic addition to my library of educational books and references. While Mike may be only be 29 years old. this collection of his work gives very credible evidence that already he is a master of Creature Design. The quality of the book itself is great. I've had it since October,2010 and it still looks relatively new. The black and white images look great. Most of the designs featured are creatures ,but also you can expect some Environmental and robot designs thrown into the mix. If you have interest in creature design or even just an admirer of weird cool looking animals . I highly recommend you get this book!
Im taking classes at Art Center for Entertainment design and this book goes hand and hand with what we are learning in the courses. Mikes style is amazing he really seems like he can do anything conceptually and this book really proves it. It has robots, copious amounts of creatures, and even environments. Everything you could ask for is in this book i was expecting a decent art book to add to my collection but this is by far one of the best concept books I have ever purchased the detail is amazing.
A marvelous and inspiring collection of peculiar creatures in B&W sketch form! Corriero's fauna testify to a deep respect of nature combined with a thirsting passion for fanciful exploration. As heavily populated as many pages are with tiny critter studies, you will want to carefully take in each each and every one, because the gold is just buried everywhere. It's worth mentioning that Mike takes some stylistic cues from Wayne Douglas Barlowe's alien work, and if you're a fan of EXPEDITION (which you probably should be) then this stuff will nicely resonate with your exomorphic aesthetic.
Having known Mike and his work for the past 3-4 years I was still stunned at the quality and originality of his creature designs in this publication. Being printed on white paper it feels like your thumbing Mikes actual sketchbook, the pencil sketches feel alive and each page flows to the next. I'm looking forward to the day he releases his colour work as that too will be something worth owning.
