PhotoGraphs is an eclectic collection of ‘written light’ (photo- = ‘light’ + -graph = ‘written’), assembled over a time span of twenty-five years.
Each of the 125 images is countered by a short short-story—sometimes only a few words—that provide a historical, cultural, critical, architectural, artistic, and/or humorous context for the visual subject matter, which ranges from detailed views of textures/environments via interior and exterior architectural spaces to landscapes.
The reader can start on any page in the book since the images are arranged in no particular order, even if at times correspondences between certain photographs and texts emerge.
