Matthew, The Gospel of the King

The first four chapters of Matthew have more to do with the position of Christ than it does to the demonstration of His power. He is the true Son of David and fulfillment of all the characteristics of the true King. The book of Matthew follows the theme of the Kingdom of God is the person of Christ the King.
