"Engaging Style" The author tells the story of Miss Harriet Lane in an engaging style that mixes entertaining narrative with the story of her life. In addition, whenever anyone enters Lane's life, he relates a complete background on that individual so that you walk away with a feeling that you know everyone in the book. I enjoyed this book and learned so much about a woman who was so admired in her time and left a legacy for all of us to enjoy.
