CNC Machines : An Introduction to Programming Methods and Techniques

There are two main reasons for lack of use of CNC machines: (1) High Cost of the CNC Machines, and (2) Shortage of skilled operators and programmers. Although cost of CNC machines is continuously coming down, the shortage of Human Resource is a big challenge. This shortage of Human Resource in the field of CNC machines is a direct consequence of the shortage of educators or teachers or trainers who could impart skills in the field of CNC machines. This book is a small step to develop a pool of human resource in this important field of CNC machines. This book mainly focuses on the Programming aspects of the CNC machines. Various programming method have been discussed and illustrated in this book. A lesser known but highly potential and useful method of programming known as Parametric Programming is also discussed. Hope this book will ignite some interest in the readers to further explore and take this challenging task of programming the CNC machines.
