"two of the authors I read already " I can say this much -- you are looking at some strong horror classics here and if one is a horror writer these days and want to write traditional horror, go back to the roots of the genre. True some are celebrating Stephen King and a few of the newer writers out there (Terry Lloyd Vinson and Nicholas Grabowsky are two that I will vouch for here,) but these authors in the anthology of this nature are the writers that set the tone for Stephen King, Kailleaugh Andersson, myself and Joseph Armstead.       Upon picking this collection up on here I got a copy of Sleepy Hallow and re-read some of Poe's work on here, Masque of the Red Death is one of Poe's important stories along with The Telltale Heart, The Oblong Box set the tone for some of my own work and The Gold Bug was a required reading for my old classes in high school. The Editor took some careful time to put this thing together and if she decides to... More > do one that is an entire history of horror within the past 200 plus years I will be honored to be a part of this. So I have to give a hats off on the editor for doing this kind of anthology -- it is much needed.        The book is good as far as the stories go but the suggestion I can make is this, it can be presented so much better, if you need help with presenting this I can help. Monica has a good selection of classics to choose from but needs to present to book a little better.< Less

"This is just sad...." When so no-name person can make a profit off the works of dead authors simply because copyrights have run out. In other words, this "author" has just copy/pasted classic texts (which are freely available anywhere on the web) and is charging out the butt for you to read them. This should be illegal. Really. No wonder the sales rating is so low here, most people with a brain have long since realized it's easy to find these anywhere. To the author: I'm sure you thought you were being clever by finding already written works and trying to make money off them. My advice? At least offer any sucker stupid enough to buy what they can find for free with a halfway interesting cover. This is just sad.
